SSD #135 Blog Hop with Ribbon Carousel

Good Morning, everyone!!!

Welcome to SSD's Challenge 135!
It's July 1st, which means we have a new crew to introduce!

This month, Skipping Stones Design is trying something a bit different.  We don't have sketches, we have inspiration photos!  You get to use whatever you like from the photos to inspire your card or project.

Of course, we need some inspiration from some guest designers, too!  Laurel Seabrook and  Deb Felts will  be joining us for the month of July and I can't wait to see what they create using the inspiration photos.

We have a super surprise to start off July, but you'll have to keep reading to find out what it is!!!

But, before I get to that.......feast your eyes on a wonderful celebration card!!!
I actually used 5 SSD stamp sets to make my card this week!!!  See all of those fireworks?  Yep, they are all parts of SSD sets that helped create a sky filled with color! Can you tell I love the fireworks for the 4th of July?  ;-)

At first, I have to be honest, I was bummed that I didn't have the Home of the Brave SSD stamp set to make my card.  Seeing the inspiration photo (below) and all of that patriotic goodness had me trying to figure out what I could do.

So, I went looking through my stamps and found several stamps that would work as fireworks!!!  The froo-froo shoe from Sassy Shoes was perfect! And, the Cupcake Cutie candles worked, too (one for the burst and one upside down as the trail right before the big boom).  Don't forget the flower in Dandelion Dreams or the flower and dots in the Garden Kissing Set.  All of these came together perfectly with some blue and red ink!

Here's your inspiration for this week!

Okay......I think it's time to let you in on the surprise?

The Skipping Stones Design Team is thrilled to be teaming up with the fabulous designers from The Ribbon Carousel to bring you a blog hop that is sure to impress!

Lets talk prizes!

Hop along and leave some blog love for our designers for a chance to win one of 2 great prizes!  The Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a ribbon carousel and Skipping Stones Design will be giving away a stamp set of the winner's choice!   Winners will be announced on Saturday at 8:00 PM EST!

Ready to hop?!
Lets do it!
