Squigglefly Monday!!!

If it's Monday.............
It's time to Squigglefly!!!!

This week's challenge is all for the men!!!

 You need to
MAKE IT MASCULINE!!!

Since we are getting near Fathers' Day (June 19th, in case you need that date.....lol), thoughts seem to turn to the MEN in our lives this month.......so, let's make a creation just for them this week!!!  Make it masculine!!!

Now, I've taken a bit of a twist on this challenge as all of my Fathers' Day cards have already been made.  I made it masculine by using Grumpy Gordon image by the talented Marlene S.  This humorous card will be for a friend who sometimes jokes about "stupid" arguments that he and his wife have (he even calls them that......stupid).  Hopefully, he'll get a bit of a chuckle out of it.

The original sentiment was stacked with the word "Arguing" on top of the rest.  That's where the beauty of digi images comes in.......I needed it to go straight across so I could "hang" Gordon's arms over the text box......so, a little digital manipulation and there you have it!  Worked perfectly!

Isn't this inside sentiment just perfect???  Love Marlene's humor!

So, although this card is not for Fathers' Day...........
It is for a man and hopefully he'll get a chuckle out of it.

I'm also using this card for several challenges.

First and foremost, this card was made to fit this week's Squigglefly challenge.  You can go to Squigglefly's Blog to see all of the details and to get some inspiration from the other DT members.  I love getting inspiration from them!!!  Also, please remember that you can enter the challenge using ANY images or stamps but in order to win the prize you must also use a Squigglefly image.

I'm also using this card for the Color Throwdown #145 Color Challenge (colors below) and Crazy4Challenges #91 Challenge in which they also ask you to create a masculine card.  So, lots and lots of challenges to inspire you this week.

One last note before I let you go...........In this week's released images (every Saturday, in case you want to check back often) Squigglefly introduced the Fairy Klara image by Jane Beljo.  All proceeds will go to Caylin's Cure - A Fundraiser for Hope which supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  You can read about this fundraiser HERE.

I know that this image will not fit this week's them of "masculine" but why not throw it in your cart when you are checking out.  It is such a cute image that can easily be used for many situations and you are helping to support diabetes research!!!

Great masculine card Stephanie! I love the color blocks with the rounded corners you have on here, and love the creative way you made this guy hang over the sentiment panel.

Love your "out of the box" technique on Grumpy Gordon! He was so much fun to draw - and even more fun to see in your creation! Thanks for playing with him. (Oooh....that sounded funny. Didn't it?)
