Stepping In for Gina K. Sketch Challenge and CR84FN Color Challenge!

I'm so excited to share this next card with all of you.  It's so amazing when you know you want to create a card and an hour later you have something you're so proud to give away.  Let me tell you why this card is so important.

I had been sick since Saturday and went to the doctor's office on Monday.  The doctor diagnosed me with Strep Throat and obviously, I couldn't go to school being contagious.  I called my new student teacher (who only had 1 week under her belt with our class) and explained that I wouldn't be in.  Now, I did this on Monday morning, just as she was walking in.  I felt horrible that I was doing this to her.  After getting the word that I was not allowed to go back until Wednesday, I called her Monday night and gave her instructions for Tuesday.  She was a trooper.  She decided to teach almost the whole day and was so excited because the kids really responded to her.  She really "Stepped In" for me when those 2 days could have been horrible with just having a substitute.

I remembered that I had gotten Gina K.'s Retro Boutique stamp set and didn't get to use the "shoes" in the set.....only the bags.  I also remembered the "stepping in" sentiment and that's what made this set just perfect!  Not to mention that I always tell my student teacher that I'm amazed at the heels she wears daily and that her feet don't hurt.......ahhhhhhhhhhh to be 22 again!

Anyway, I "paired" this up with 2 challenges (pun definitely intended...lol).  Of course, using Gina K. stamps means using a Gina K. sketch!  I didn't have an oval large enough to just stamp the shelf of shoes.....so, I used a smaller one as sort of a mat stack. When I went to put the shoes over it, one end of the dimensional stuck and it sort of bowed and I loved it........so, I definitely kept it that way!

And, a new to me color challenge for CR84FN!  Love these colors and they worked just perfectly!  My green is sort of an grayish green, so I hope that works for the challenge.  But, wow......these colors are just gorgeous together!

Here's the card for my student teacher!!!

Do you think a 22 year old will appreciate the heels and bling?  I sure hope so!

Look how cute this arch is!!!  I was so happy that dimensional stuck when it shouldn't have......lol  I'm not sue if you can see the tiny, tiny rhinestones on each of the shoes, but they added a bunch of bling to the overall look of this card.

I think this cute shoe card would be so perfect for my daughter in law! She is 4'8" and always wears the highest heels. Every day! I love the bow in the shoe shelf. It was a nice little bonus with the glue dot. Great card. Hope you are feeling better.
